Your homes should be filled with big and full joyful noises. Clearer, more controlled tones are beginning to develop. We have been working on moving our air and beginning to articulate the beginning of each note. Keep encouraging your child to play 20 minutes each night the same exercises we do in class. Ask them to demonstrate what they know. Free concerts are always fun.

What we did this week:
- We have a few online resources to help you practice:
- Your student can go online for recordings of their assignment. It is a good practice tool and a way to check for correctness.
- Learned whole notes, half notes, and quarter notes and how to count, and sound those rhythms.
- Centered our target note of F
- Worked our High to Lows (F down to Bb) and back up.
- Played our slide/valve series – started to read the exercise too
What we will do next week:
- Lines 14-18 in Essential Elements (EE)
- Articulate quarter notes and half notes
