Greetings Band Parents:
The Clark Cougar Band will begin its annual fundraiser in September. This year, our students will be selling the Save Around North Dallas Coupon Book. This book features many coupons and discounts from local merchants in Frisco, Allen, Plano and more. Our Band had great fundraising success last year due to the high demand for coupons in the local area. These books would be wonderful for friends, family, and clients that live in North Dallas.
This is the only fundraiser that we ask our students to be involved in. It is critical for us to be successful, so that we can continue to provide scholarships for needy students, professional clinicians to enhance your child’s musical education, additional rewards, transportation, etc… While FISD does an excellent job of providing funds for equipment (stands, chairs, instruments…), this is not enough for other vital components needed to provide the best band experience possible for our students. It is important we have a successful fundraiser because these additional costs (clinicians, scholarships, awards, bus travel…) will be over $14,000 this coming year!!
On Tuesday, September 9th, we will be discussing the fundraiser and showing the Save Around book to the students.
The actual sale of items will be Tuesday, September 16th – Tuesday, October 14th.
If you choose to have your child participate in the fundraiser, they will receive a sample book to use during the selling process. This book must be returned at the end of the fundraiser unless it is purchased or earned as a fundraising prize. The following information will determine whether the student keeps the book for FREE or whether the student pays for their book:
Students selling 6 items will receive a $5 gift card* or flying Monkey!!
Students selling 12 items will receive their book for free, and a $5 gift card* or flying Monkey!!
Students selling 18 items will receive their book for free, and a $15 gift card*!!
Students selling 24 items will receive their book for free, a Clark Hoodie, and a $5 gift card* or flying Monkey!!
Top Seller receives $100. Top seller must sell a minimum of 25 items to be eligible
We are asking that EVERY student return the form below whether they participate in the program or not. If you and your student decide not to participate in this fundraiser, but would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Clark Band, your child will receive prizes as well. (Every $10.00 donated = 1 item sold. See above for more information.)
