Symphonic Band — Week #3

  • Handbook form were due by Friday, August 29th
  • Practice Card is due on Monday, September 15th
  • Fundraising Forms are due on Tuesday, September 16th
  • We have a Pep-Rally on Monday, September 15th… Wear your band t-shirt for the pep-rally unless you are a cheerleader or football player!
  • Students are expected to have complete comprehension of the following pieces of music:
  1. Louie, Louie
  2. Happy
  3. Fight Song
  4. Hey Song
  5. Stand Shorties
  6. Sweet Caroline
  7. Problem
  8. Counting Stars
  • Students are expected to work on their All-Region Lyrical and Technical Exercises slowly.  You should here the same measures repeated many times.  This is the best technique to lead to content mastery.
  • Reed students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled!
