General Announcements
- Practice cards are due every Monday. 30 minutes is the minute time expected for each practice session.
- There is a 4 step method/process to learning new music. Ask you child to demonstrate this process.
- You should be hearing a consistent pattern in your child’s practice. Practice time should be structured as the following for a 30 minute practice session:
- 5 minutes of Daily Drill
- 15 of new assigments/music
- 10 of old/fun stuff. This is when practicing pays off and should anything the child enjoys.
- Always end practicing feeling good about what you can do.

- EE Page 11-12 will be added next week.
- Test on 48
- Daily Drills – you should hear long, held out tones.
- Chromatic Scales starting at both Bb and F
- Technical exercises, new melodies, and dotted quarter notes will be learned next week.
