Announcements

• New practice cards have been given to the band
• Practice Cards are due on Monday, January 12th
• Jazz Band Concert: Tuesday, January 13th, 6pm @ Clark. Jazz students should wear their band t-shirts and either blue jeans or khakis. Meet at 5:30.
• Winter Band Party on Friday, February 6th
• Sectionals are required and are one time each week per section. These sectionals help prepare us for UIL.
• UIL – the University Interscholastic League, this is our big contest of the year. We perform on Monday, March 2nd. There should be practicing on small portions of our selections at a time. Many slow, precise repetitions; focusing on tone, style, and accuracy, should be what you hear from your child in his/her practice time.
