• Scale Olympics is in full swing. Your student should have passed off at least 1 scale or more at this time. To be on target to be a scale olympian, 9 scales should be passed off by Spring Break.
• The Winter Party has changed dates to Friday, February 20.
• Practice Cards are due on Monday, January 26

• 8 Major Scales, 1 chromatic scale
• Line 106 will be a playing test next week
• The following melodies are being worked on for their respective rhythms:
  • 16th note patterns:
    • Happy Birthday, Iron Man, Lord of the Rings
  • Triplet patterns:
    • Star Wars, Superman, Spongebob Squarepants
