2010 All-Region Band Results

The Clark Band is proud of our 45 students and 1 alternative who made the 2010 All-Region Band. Over 2,200 students competed for the All-Region Band. This included students from middle schools in Lewisville ISD, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, Southlake-Carroll ISD, Little Elm ISD, Lake Dallas ISD, and Frisco ISD. The three bands that make up the All-Region Band are the Wind Symphony, Honor Band, and Symphonic Band.  Overall, Clark finished 2nd in district and 2nd in the Region.  Congratulations to the following students and to all the Cougar Band students who auditioned and represented Clark Middle School with pride!

Frisco ISD Solo and Ensemble Contest

Saturday, May 14th

Solo & Ensemble Contest is an opportunity for students to perform chamber music in a smaller group setting other than the full band. Besides solos (with piano accompaniment), students are able to perform in trios, quartets, quintets and like-instrument choirs. Students are judged individually on their performance and are assigned a rating. They are NOT ranked as was the case with All-Region Band.

Rating “I” = Superior performance

Rating “II” = “Excellent” performance

Rating “III”= “Below Average” performance

Only those solos and ensembles earning the rating of “I” receive medals
