• We had a great first week!!
• You will be receiving this newsletter each Friday to let you know what we’ve been working on and what will be expected for the next week.
• I will also let you know of any announcements made in class. We are looking forward to a fun year.
• Students are expected to be able to perform the following music with at least 90% content mastery
  • Fight Song, Hey Song, Low Rider, Louie, Louie (except trumpet solo)
• Students are expected to be able to perform the following music with at least 80% content mastery
  • Gonna Fly Now, Cheerleader, Carry On Wayward Son
• Please begin working on Etude #1 of your region audition music.

Announcements:

• First practice card is due in class with a parent signature on Monday, August 29^th.
• Return Pages were due this Friday, August 26^th. You can still get credit for turning them in on Monday. This form is essential for travel with the band.
• Please sign up for Remind. You can learn how at this link.
• The sectional schedule is now posted. Please talk with your child about when their time is. Morning sectionals begin at 7:20 AM and after school sectionals run until 4:40 PM. Attendance is mandatory.
• The kickoff for the band fundraiser is this next week, look for an envelope to come home that describes it.  We will be doing a color run!
• School Dance sponsored by the band is Friday, September 9^th.  Tickets are $5.00!
• Band fees are due. $95 for 7th graders or $58 for 8th graders to the Clark Band or pay online here.
