General Membership Meeting

Mr. Katz welcomed everyone and introduced the Executive Board members.

Sue Zempke called the meeting to order at 6:09 pm.

New Business:

Concessions:  Discussed the need for parent volunteers to help with concessions at the Volleyball and Basketball games. We will need one parent per game and it is ok for them to bring their student to help. A sign up sheet was available for volunteering.

Fall Dance:  The band sponsors a Fall Dance each year. The dance is to be held on Friday, Sept. 14. The 6th grade dance is from 4:30-6pm and the 7th&8th grade dance is from 6:30-8pm. We will need many parent volunteers in areas such as set up, decorating, chaperoning, selling concessions, selling novelties and cleaning up! A sign up sheet was available for volunteering.

Fall Fundraiser:  Mr. Katz presented an overview of the Fall Fundraiser. The students will be selling quality items such as personalized pens. The fundraiser runs from 9/27 – 10/14. We will need some parent volunteers to help with the fundraiser.

Budget: Roxanne Bowser went over the current status of the Band Booster budget and presented the proposed 2007-2008 Band Booster budget.

The budget was approved.

Volunteer form:  All volunteers need to complete a Parent Volunteer Application. This form can be filled out online at www.friscoisd.org/students/form_vol.htm.
