- Practice Card is due on Monday, April 6th
- All students should be practicing the following lines of music in their Essential Elements book and assigned music:
- All classes — Complete chromatic scale;
- All classes Level Two Scales: F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, C, D; there are major test grades for every one of these scales.
- Imperium — All students should be able to perform the entire piece. (Tempo = 144)
- Comet Ride — All students should be able to perform the entire piece. (Tempo = 148 144)
- We are “passing this music off” for a major grade on each piece. Failure to perform the music off may result in students not being allowed to travel with us the Sandy Lake.
- Tutorials are available every day for students who need additional assistance.
Please note the following below:
- The required after school rehearsals are coming up. They are Monday, April 20th and Thursday, April 23rd. Both will be from 3:35 – 5:00 PM and all students are required to attend both rehearsals. Students that do not attend both rehearsals may not be allowed to attend the Sandy Lake performance and may fail band for the six weeks. Please note that the rehearsal on the 23rd has been moved from its original date of the 24th.
- Students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick (except for Flutes).
