Beginner Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone

  • Practice Card is due on Monday, January 26th
  • Band Party has moved to Friday, February 20th!!
  • Students are not required to practice over the break but they are required to take their instrument home.  We recommend that they play some to keep themselves in shape as we prepare for the spring.
  • All students should be practicing the following lines of music in their Essential Elements book and assigned music:
    1. Clarinets 2nd Period  — Second Level of chromatic scale to High D# and back down; Level One  Scales; Happy Birthday, Imperial March, Happy Birthday
    2. Clarinets 7th Period  — Second Level of chromatic to High C and back down scale; Level One  Scales; Happy Birthday; Imperial March
    3. Saxophones — Complete Chromatic scale; Level One  Scales; Happy Birthday; Imperial March; Vibrato Practice on #17,18,23,25
    4. Flutes — Complete Chromatic scale to High A and back down; Level One and Two Scales; Happy Birthday; Imperial March; Vibrato Practice on #17,18,23,25
  • Students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick (except for Flutes).  Most students should be playing on a size 3 reed.
  • Have you paid your Band fees?  $30.00 check made payable to the Clark Band.
