Concert Band Week 4

Homework:

• Students are expected to be able to perform the following music with at least 90% content mastery:  The 8 scales, the first line of the region band music, Fight Song, Hey Song, Radioactive, Sail, and the Hand Clap Song
• Students should be working on all three etudes of your region audition music. Lines have been assigned with due dates.
• Practice cards are due on Monday, September 18th.
• Students need to download a free tuner app for their device to use during class

Upcoming Events:

• Tuesday, September 19^th – 8^th grade football game (5:00pm – 8:30pm)
  • All students are expected to attend and perform

• Friday, September 22nd — All-Region Band sign-up deadline 
  • This event is optional 
  • Due to FISD budget students who choose to audition need to pay                 a $12 non-refundable entry fee
  • Check made payable to the Clark Band
• Monday, September 25th — Pep-Rally (3:00pm)
  • All Students are expected to perform
  • All Students are expected to wear their band t-shirt unless they are a football player or cheerleader

Friday, September 29th is the Color Run!!  Please help us raise money for the program.  Our goal is $15,000 in donations.  You can sign-up a friend who goes to Clark for the Color Run, pre-order your In and Out,  and donate for the Color Run online here.

• Tuesday, October 4th — Marching Band Showcase (6:00pm – 10:00pm)
  • This event is optional.
  • Performance is at the Star
  • We encourage your family to attend but are not providing transportation.

  • Lebanon Trail HS football game at the Star
  • Current 8^th graders going to Lebanon Trail HS only
  • Volleyball is excused
• Thursday, October 19th  (5:30pm to around 9:00pm)
  • Centennial HS football game at the Star
  • current 8^th graders going to Centennial HS only
  • Volleyball is excused
