We had a great first week. The kids are learning fast and are already starting to gel. Here are some announcements and assignments that your kids should be working toward.

Announcements:

• Practice cards are due on Monday, August 29^th signed by you
• The band fundraiser kickoff will be next week, look for an envelope with instructions that will be coming home. We will be doing a color run!
• The fall school dance hosted by the band will be on September 9^th. Tickets will be $5.
• The sectional schedule is now posted. Please talk with your child about when their time is. Morning sectionals begin at 7:20 AM and after school sectionals run until 4:40 PM. Attendance is mandatory.

Assignments:

• Scales: concert F, Bb, Eb, and Ab
• Working on mastery of the following songs:
  • Fight Song
  • Hey Song
  • Louie, Louie
  • Cupid Shuffle
  • Low Rider
• Next week we will begin:
  • Cheerleader
  • All-Region material
