Mr. Katz opened meeting at 6:00 P.M.

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION:

1. Account balance of $17, 500 with about $3,500 outstanding for Try the Instruments Night.
2. Minutes will be sent by Brenna as soon as possible.  (Completed 1-13-2011)
3. Fundraising – still a few students who owe for sample pens.
4. Texas Winter Games – need a few more parents to fill in slots for Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday afternoon.  NJHS students can get service hours for participating.  Also mention of Allison Kullenberg as resource since her company pays for her volunteer services.
5. All-Region Clinic Wrap up – suggested that Babe’s, Chili’s, or the cool Cici’s might be better places for eating.  Also suggested that parents pick up their musicians at 4:30 P.M.
6. Try the Instruments Night – Held on January 20 and 24, 2011.  Parents needed in shifts of 4:00 to 6:45 P.M. and 6:45 to 8:30 P.M. to answer questions and share enthusiasm about Clark MS Band program.  Students have volunteered to participate as well.
7. Winter Party moved to Friday, February 4, 2011.  Need to get rolling ASAP.  Stacy Barnes will head up the festivities, but Michele will get the volunteers.
