Executive Board Meeting Minutes

Clark Middle School

Meeting called to order at 7:00pm

Attendees: Benjamin Katz, Allison Kullenberg, Cathy Ripkowski,  Lynn Schluns, Daniel Taylor, Renee Taylor, Sue Zempke

Finance and Budget

Mr. Katz reviewed the estimated budget needs of the band for the 2008/09 school year.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Katz went over the proposed calendar for the band for 2008/09.

Upcoming volunteers needs:

8/18-8/21 Cougar Band Camp: 1-2 parents to collect money, take roll

8/21 Cougar Band Camp Party:  10-12 parents to chaperone

8/26&27 Shirt sizing: 2-4 parents in 4 hour shifts

9/12 Fall Dance:  14 – 16 parents

Robin Williams has volunteered to coordinate the Fall Dance. Will ask her to join us at our next meeting. The band council will be making suggestions for a theme.

Carla Smith and Holly Clarkson have volunteered to coordinate the Fall Band Party.

Directors Wish List: discussed purchasing a digital camera with photo printer vs. using Polaroid until we run out. Mr. Katz will do some more pricing. The board agreed with the wish list to include: a piano cart, tuba holders, file cabinet, office chair, percussion wheels.

The next meeting will be held Monday, 8/11/08 at 6pm in the CMS band hall office.
