General Announcements

• Fundraiser Update: Orders have been delivered this week. Prizes to be rewarded next week.
• Beginner Concert is on Thursday, November 21st.
• Students can practice with the CD/DVD that came with their books.
• We have learned a procedure/process for learning new lines/music:
  1. Count and finger/slide – break it down into smaller units.
  2. Sing and finger/slide – break it down into smaller units.
  3. BERP it.
  4. Play it.
  5. Repeat the entire process
• Practice Cards are due every Monday. Parents please sign them on Sunday. When there are some missing grades for practice cards, have your child turn-in their practice card and they will still receive credit; even for late cards.
• Everyone should be practicing 30 minutes each day.

• F & Bb Remington 1 note & 2 note exercises
• Slurs down and up
• Full range chromatic scale – NEW
• Note recognition (work for speed). Use this nifty tool to practice.
• Lines 43-51
• Each student has their own solo line to practice for the concert.
