Executive Board Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order at 6:04pm
Attendees: Jane Arradaza, Benjamin Katz, Allison Kullenberg, Sylvie Marquet, Cathy Ripkowski, Daniel Taylor, Renee Taylor, Sue Zempke
Treasurers Report
Cathy R. presented an updated treasurers report (see attached). She has contacted the Shattuck’s and obtained the concession monies. There is a discrepancy in the Chik-Fil-A totals that she is trying to clear up.
OLD BUSINESS
VP of Fundraising Report
Letters have been handed out to all students who owe monies for their Sample pens. Cathy will be collecting the monies and e-mailing Renee the information. A final email will be sent out to those students who have not paid for their pens.
Renee is working on getting Coffee Samples for our next meeting for a Coffee Fundraiser next year. We also discussed having the 8th graders sell Mugs instead of pens.
Ben mentioned the idea of a Spaghetti Dinner Concert with Silent Auction as a Fundraiser.
NEW BUSINESS
VP of Volunteers Report
Collin County Jazz Fest – Sat. March 28. Jazz Band performs at 11:45am and Lab Band performs at 1:45pm. Mandatory Awards night at 8:00 pm. Meet at Clark at 7pm. Mr. Katz is scheduling the Buses and will reserve the tickets for the students. The Boosters will pay for the student tickets ($4 each) and provide lunch at Freddies. Parents will pick up students at Clark at 10:30 pm. Jazz band parents needed to carpool students to lunch.
Honor Band UIL Tuesday, March 31. Perform at 10:40am at Little Elm High School. Need at least 4 parents volunteers to be a the school by 9am. We will take them to Cici’s Pizza. They need to bring $5 each.

Symphonic Band UIL Thursday, April 2. Perform at 9:30am at Wakeland High School. Need to be at Clark at 7:30 am. Need at least 4 parent volunteers to be at Clark by 8am. We will take them to Cici’s Pizza. They need to bring $5 each.
Beginner Band Rehearsal Thursday April 23 and Friday April 24 4-5:30pm. The Band Boosters will provide 125 Ice Cream Sandwiches after the Friday practice. Sue will purchase the sandwiches. We will need 5 Beginner Parents to help hand out the snacks at 5:15pm on Friday
Directors’ Notes
We have 120 signed up for Beginner Band next year and 156 returning 7th and 8th graders. Our retention rate is very good.
The next meeting will be held Thursday, April 23rd at 6pm in the CMS band hall office.
