The school year is starting to pick up steam as we are preparing for our first performance as a full band at the Sandy Lake Band Contest. The students are doing well with their music and scales and I am proud of their hard work! Please note the announcements for the practices and the performance.
Announcements:

Practice Cards are due: Monday, March 27th
- After school practices are coming! Tuesday, April 18th and Thursday, April 20th from 3:35 – 5:00pm.
- Students are required to attend both practices.
- Failure to do so, may result in a failing grade and possible removal from the program
- These are our only two practices for the year.
Trumpets, French Horns, Oboes and Bassoons
- Imperium — Students must be able to play at least 70% of this material correctly to attend Sandy Lake Band Contest
- Construction Zone — Students must be able to play at least 70% of this material correctly to attend Sandy Lake Band Contest
- Scales: F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, C, G, D.
- Trumpets and French Horns should have level 1 finished by the end of the grading period
- Oboes and Bassoons should have at least 4 level 2 scales passed off by the end of the grading period
- Spongebob and/or Pink Panther and Stand By Me
- Eligibility: Students must be eligible (check MP4) with at least a 70% in all classes in order to attend Sandy Lake on Friday, April 21st.
- Practice: Students should be practicing each day for 20 – 30 minutes at a time.
Reminders:
Sandy Lake on April 21st — meet at 7:30am in the band hall. We perform at 10:00am.
