Executive Board Meeting
Meeting called to order 6:12pm
Attendees: Benjamin Katz, Allison Kullenberg, Sylvie Marquet, Cathy Ripkowski, Lynn Schluns, Daniel Taylor, Renee Taylor, Sue Zempke
Treasurer’s Report
Cathy R. presented updated treasurer’s report (see attached). Mr. Katz noted we have upcoming expenses including: $1785 for Solo & Ensemble accompanists, $45 additional Solo & Ensemble fee, $167 website hosting fee, $200 to David Burke for recording compilation, $250 to Doc Chandler for recording the spring concert. The State Honor Band entry fee is $300 for the region and $300 for the area.
V.P. of Fundraising Report
There is a $308 outstanding balance for pens which we will need to write off. Discussed selling copies of a photo from the Murchison – Renee will look into how much copies will cost and put together a proposal to take orders for photos at the spring concert.

Solo & Ensemble Contest, Saturday 5/16/09 at Roach Middle School

Volunteer needs: none
Spring Band Concert, Monday 5/18/09 at CMS, band arrive 6:30, concert 7:00pm
(Concert, Honor, Symphonic bands)
Will introduce and vote on board candidates at beginning of concert.
Volunteer needs: 2 parents + 1 percussion parent per band for dress check, crowd control, etc.
Set-up stage for concert on Sunday, 5/17/09 at 4:00pm – will have enough volunteers through Boosters.
Jazz Band Concert, Tuesday 5/19/09 at CMS
Volunteer needs: none
NEW BUSINESS
V.P. of Volunteers
Hurricane Harbor Band Trip, Saturday 6/6/09
Volunteer needs: a minimum of 15 chaperones (have already had several volunteers).
Directors Notes
State Honor Band judging will be 6/8/09 and 6/18/09 at Flower Mound H.S.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 6/2/09 at 6:00pm. Sue Z. offered to host the meeting. Each board member will bring a dish to share (we will have approximately 14 attendees to include next years board members).
