Mr. Katz opened meeting at 6:15 P.M.

  1. Treasurer’s Report
    1. Approximately $20,000 at View Point
    2. Approximately $1,380 at Wells Fargo
  2. Secretary’s Report – Minutes from October 11, 2011, meeting will be sent via email.
  3. VPs of Volunteering – President Bob Geiger spoke for Michele Ellis who was absent.
    1. Phase I All-Region Recap
    2. Phase II All-Region Tryouts take place on November 12, 2011 at Cobb MS.  Parents needed to “kid-sit” in warm-up area in cafeteria.
  4. VPs of Fundraising
    1. Fall fundraiser update provided by Megan Fey
    2. Total profit of $5,122 net from pen sales
    3. $251 additional from sample pens
    4. Total profit of $10, 810
  5. Discussion Topics
    1. Phase II All-Region Tryouts
    2. Jazz Concert on November 15, 2011
    3. Fall Clinic Number Two

i. Concert Band on December 5

ii. Honor and Symphonic Bands on December 6

iii. Approximately 206 bottles of water and chips needed.  CeCe Neer will provide and be reimbursed.

  1. Winter Concert scheduled for December 13, 2011
  2. Tuba Holiday on December 10 at Newman Smith HS

    1. Symphonic Band Tour
    2. December 1 – set up at 5:30 P.M. for Christie and Shawnee Trail
    3. December 2 – Symphonic Band plays at Christie and Shawnee Trail elementary schools
    4. December 8 – set up at Smith Elementary
    5. December 9 – Symphonic Band plays at Smith Elementary
  4. Symphonic Band plays with Centennial HS band on December 9, 2011.
