Symphonic Band — Week #3

  • Practice Card is due on Monday, September 14th
  • Sectionals are every week.  Please remind your child to be in the band hall by 7:20 or 3:40pm.
  • Students are expected to have complete comprehension of the following pieces of music:

  1. Fight Song
  2. Hey Song
  3. Land of 1000 Dances
  4. Don’t Stop Believin’
  5. Centuries
  6. Shut Up and Dance
  7. Kashmir
  8. Cupid Shuffle
  9. Bad Blood
  10. Rick Roll
  11. Star-Spangled Banner
  • All students are to work on individual measures of the All-Region Music.  Students are expected to work on their Lyrical and Technical Exercises slowly.  You should here the same measures repeated many times.  This is the best technique to lead to content mastery.
  • Reed students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick
  • Students should be very busy on their instrument.
  • We have a pep-rally on Monday, September 21st and a concert Friday, October 23rd.
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled!
