3 Day Weekend!

Announcements:

• Students are expected to bring their instruments home everyday.
• Students are expected to lock their locks everyday.
• Please consider signing up your child for private lessons with one of our teachers.

Homework:

• Practice cards are due on Monday, February 12th
• All of my classes have been assigned a video project in Google Classroom. It involves using the app Acapella Maker or one that is comparable. The app can downloaded for Android here and for Apple here. Please have your child show you the assignment on their class page. Trumpets and French Horns are due Tuesday, February 20th and Double Reeds are due Friday, February 23rd.
  • Trumpets
    • Chromatic low F to 3rd space Eb ascending & descending
    • triplet songs and Pink Panther, next week is Sesame Street rhythms
    • Scales — F, G, Ab, Bb, C & Db – students are expected to be able to play any of these scales at any time
  • Double Reeds
    • Chromatic Low C to high Eb ascending & descending
    • Vibrato exercises – students are expected to ALWAYS use vibrato
    • triplet songs
    • Scales — F, G, Ab, Bb, C, Eb, D & Db – students are expected to be able to play any of these scales at any time
  • French Horns
    • Chromatic low F to 4th space Eb
    • 16th note songs page, triplet songs
    • Scales — Bb, C, D, Eb, F, G & Db – students are expected to be able to play any of these scales at any time

• Students should be practicing each day for 20 – 30 minutes at a time.
