On Thursday, February 27th, the concert and the honor bands will be performing at the Pre-UIL contest at Clark Middle School. The schedule will be as follows:
Concert Band
- 5:30 – Warm up on stage
- 6:00 – Perform in the cafeteria
- 6:30 – Sightread in the choir room
Honor Band
- 6:00 – Warm up in the bandhall
- 6:30 – Perform in the cafeteria
- 7:00 – Sightread in the choir room
Students, it is very important that we look our absolute best for this event. Please have your uniform clean and ironed before the day of the performance. You must wear your entire uniform, including your band polo, black dress pants, black dress socks, black dress shoes and a black dress belt. Students will be allowed to leave when they are done with the sightreading portion of the evening.
Parents, we encourage you to attend, as the students have been working very hard on this music and are preparing for their most important event of the year. Since only the band will fit in the choir room, however, we will broadcast a live feed to the theatre room. This will allow you to watch the sightreading process and understand all that it entails. Many parents enjoyed this experience last year. Thank you for all of your support!
