Dear Parents and Students:

1.  After school Practice

We are sending home this letter to remind you of the upcoming after school practices on Monday, April 21st from 3:35pm – 5:00pm and Friday, April 25th from 3:35pm to 5:00. These are the only practices that we will have. Attendance is mandatory for both practices.  This is the major project that we have been working on since the beginning of school. We will combine all of the parts of the band into one group!! It is essential that everyone attends so that we can work together as a team. Students must be eligible to attend Sandy Lake but everyone must attend both practices.

2. Sandy Lake Band Contest

The pieces that we are preparing at the band practice are for the Sandy Lake Band Contest on Tuesday, April 29th. On that day, all eligible students must arrive in their band t-shirt, shorts or jeans. We need to meet in the band hall by 7:30AM. We will be gone for most of the day, returning by 2:30pm. The students must bring either money for lunch or a sack lunch to the park. Since the rides cost money, I would suggest bringing $20 for the day. Please let us know if you need assistance.

3. Spring Concert

We will perform our music for our Spring Concert on Thursday, May 1st. We will meet at 5:30pm at Clark, and the concert will begin at 6:00pm. Again, attendance is mandatory. All students, regardless of eligibility are required to attend. This is our last performance of the year! The students are expected to dress up…no band t-shirts, jeans or shorts, please. This is our time to pass out awards to the students and celebrate all of their accomplishments in band.
