Let’s Start at the very beginning…

Welcome to the first edition of the Timpani Roll! You will be receiving this each week on Friday throughout the year to keep you updated on what is going on in beginner trumpet, french horn, oboe and bassoon. I will also use this to let you know what we will be doing the following week.

I have had a wonderful first week getting to know your children! From learning procedures to beginning to make the first sounds, their enthusiasm is evident. This weekend you should see or hear:

Bassoon – Practice putting together and taking apart, don’t forget to swab! practice lines of the staff – G B D F A and spaces A C E G

Private Lessons – Some students started lessons this week and the rest will begin next week. If you have not signed your child up for lessons and would like to, please visit the private lessons tab on our website and contact the teacher for your child’s instrument. Financial assistance is available and can be applied for on the web page as well

Almost every student has all of their supplies needed for class, thank you for taking care of this! Some of your supply kits may be missing a piece or two but as the music stores bring them, we will pass them on. If you have been unable to get supplies, the holiday weekend is a perfect time to visit Music and Arts or Music 1st!
