Symphonic Band Week #1

  • Handbook form were due by Friday, August 29th
  • Practice Card is due on Tuesday, September 2nd
  • Sectionals begin Tuesday morning
  • Dance Friday after school next Friday
  • Students are expected to practice this weekend on the following charts:
  1. Trumpets — Louie, Louie Solo
  2. French Horn/ Trombone/ Euphonium — Louie, Louie melodic sections
  3. Tubas — Happy m. 7,8,9 — avoid m.10 if too difficult
  4. All students to work on Sweet Caroline, Problem and All-Region Music
  5. Scales should be reviewed as necessary
  6. Brass students are expected to have BURPS for class on Tuesday.  See Mr. Kennedy or Mr. Timpani if you need assistance.
  7. Reed students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick
  8. Students should be very busy on their instrument.  We have a pep-rally in 10 rehearsals.
  9. All-Region practice is next Saturday.  Details to follow.
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled
