Beginner Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone

  • All students should be practicing the following lines of music in their Essential Elements book and assigned music:
    1. Clarinets 2nd Period  — Complete chromatic scale ; Finish Level One  Scales; Work on Level two Scales; Do your Ears Hang Low; Pirates
    2. Clarinets 7th Period  — Second Level of chromatic and back down scale; Level One  Scales; Do your Ears Hang Low; Pirates
    3. Saxophones — Complete Chromatic scale; Level Two Scales; Pirates; Pink Panther; Problem
    4. Flutes — Complete Chromatic scale; Level Two Scales; Pirates; Pink Panther
  • Students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick (except for Flutes).  Most students should be playing on a size 3 reed.
