Symphonic Band Week #1

  • Handbook form was due by Friday, August 28th
  • Practice Card is due on Monday, August 31st
  • Sectionals begin Monday morning.  Click here for details.
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled
  • The Annual Fall Dance is next Friday, September 4th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm.  Tickets are $5.
  • Volunteers for the dance must have an approved background check and must come to school before Friday to scan their driver’s license.
  • All-Region is tomorrow.  The times are listed here.

  1. All students need to work on their all All-Region Music very slowly.  Only the first 4 measures of each etude are expected for next week with correct notes and rhythms
  2. Scales should be reviewed as necessary
  3. Brass students are expected to have BURPS for class on Tuesday.  See Mr. Kennedy or Mr. Timpani if you need assistance.
  4. Woodwind students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick.
