Our first pep rally was a success! The band sounded amazing, the cheerleaders did a great job and some teachers taught us all how to “whip and nae nae.” This next week brings our first football game performance. Please make note of the following announcements.
Announcements
- Practice Card is due on Monday, September 28th
- Sectionals are every week. Please remind your child to be in the band hall by 7:20 or 3:40pm. A student can make up a missed sectional on any other day a sectional is held.
- First Football game — Tuesday, September 29th. A schedule for the evening can be found here.
- 8th grade only to CHS football game — Friday, October 9th. Details coming.
- Second Football game — Tuesday, October 13th. Details coming.
- Fall Clinic — Wednesday, October 21st.
- Fall Concert — Friday, October 23rd.
Assignments
- All students should work on their all All-Region Music very slowly. Check your student’s material for each week’s assignment. They should be practicing a few measures each week with correct notes and rhythms with their best sound.
- We will be passing off scales next week. Students should be working for best sounds and fluid rhythms on their scales.
- Students are expected to have complete comprehension on all of there stand/pep music.
- Brass students are expected to have BERPS for class everyday. See Mr. Kennedy or Mr. Timpani if you need assistance.
- Woodwind students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick.
