Percussion Week 30

6th Grade

Saturday May, 7th

**Percussion concert at Centennial High School**

Students will need

  1. BINDER / MUSIC
  2. STICKS, MALLETS, AND PAD
  3. BAND SHIRT AND BLUE JEANS

Schedule: 

4:45-5:30pm – Release the Beginners Rehearsal (this is when we tape our sticks and practice in the dark!)

5:45-6:30pm – Somebody to Love Rehearsal (6-12 everyone practices together)

6:30pm – Snacks!

6:40pm – Doors open to the public

7:00pm – Concert! (over by 8:30pm)

Sandy Lake

All students must attend two rehearsals on Tuesday, May 3rd and Thursday, May 5th from 3:30 – 5:00pm.  Attendance is mandatory.  These are our only practices that we will have for our concert and contest.  Failure to attend may result in a failing grade and removal from the program.

  • Students are expected to be able to perform Imperium and Construction Zone with 90% proficiency in order to qualify for the Sandy Lake Band Contest on Friday, May 13th.

  • Students must pass all of their classes on MP5 in order to participate in the Sandy Lake Band Contest.  This is a state rule.

 

7th and 8th Grade

Symphonic Band:

9:30am warm-up/ 10:00am performance

We are going to PinStack after we finish at the Murchison.  This portion of the day is optional.  Due to PinStack’s policy, we must collect money by Friday, April 29th.  Please send a $20 check made out to the Clark Band or $20 cash.  No refunds possible.  Click here for details.  All eligible students are expected to attend the Contest portion of the day.  Please let us know if you have a conflict.
