  • Practice Cards are due on Monday, May 9th.
  • Page 46 – 47;  Complete chromatic scale ascending and descending; Scale Olympics continue  – F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, C, G, D;

  • Music Goals
  • Imperium, Construction Zone = 100% accuracy
  • Stand By Me = 100% accuracy
  • James Bond = 90% accuracy
  • Peter Gunn = 90% accuracy

  • Students are expected to be able to perform Imperium and Construction Zone with 90% proficiency in order to qualify for the Sandy Lake Band Contest on Friday, May 13th.

  • Students must pass all of their classes on MP5 in order to participate in the Sandy Lake Band Contest.  This is a state rule.

  • Spring Concert is Thursday, May 12th.  All Students, regardless of eligibility, are expected to attend.  Meet at Clark @ 5:30pm.  Concert begins at 6:00pm.  If your child cannot get a ride to the concert in time, then they may stay after school.  This is an awards concert, so students are expected to dress up!
  • No jeans, shorts or athletic shoes please.  Students are expected to wear dress pants, dress shirt and dress shoes.  Girls may wear a dress or dress pants if they prefer.  Please us know if you have an issue with getting dress clothes.  We can help.      
  • Friday, May 13th — Beginning Band to Sandy Lake!  All eligible students are expected to attend.  Click here for details.
  • Final exams/auditions are the week of May 16th.  All students are expected to perform 2 of 8 scales (chosen at random) from memory, the chromatic scale, an etude, name notes on the board, and sightread.
