Hey Cougar Band,
Summer Band for all rising 7th and 8th graders begins (not beginners) next week! The dates and times are as follows:
- Monday, August 8th 5:30-8:30pm
- Tuesday, August 9th 5:30-8:30pm
- Wednesday, August 10th 5:30-8:30pm
All 7th & 8th grade returning students (not beginners) are expected to attend. The camp is free! If you have conflicts or concerns please contact us at Katzb@friscoisd.org. You will be receiving a new band binder at camp with everything you need to get started for the school year. Be sure to bring your instrument as well. We will also be checking out school instruments during the week.
Jazz Band for 7th & 8th graders
- Monday, August 8th 11:00 AM – Practice in the bandhall
- Tuesday, August 9th 11:00 AM – Practice in the bandhall
- Wednesday, August 10th 8:30 – show up to the bandhall and setup in gym
- 9:40 – play for cougar camp
- 10:15 – take down and go home
- Be sure to wear your band t-shirt or NJHS t-shirt
Band Council
- Monday, August 8th 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Tuesday, August 9th 9:00am – 2:00pm
- Wednesday, August 10th 1:00pm – 4:30pm
Please bring a sack lunch for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, we will be providing pizza and drinks for lunch.
Amazing Jakes! On Thursday, August 11th we are going to Amazing Jakes to ride those long yellow taxis called buses. This is optional. We are meeting at 5:30pm and will return to Clark at 10:30pm. If you would like to participate, bring $16 with you on Thursday.
Band Fees. We encourage you to take care of payment of your band fees during Summer Camp. The band boosters will be available to process your payment on all 3 days of camp.
- We are also going to pay online at http://www.clarkband.org/cougar-band-fee-online-payment/ There is a small processing fee. Band fees for 7th grade are $95 and 8th grade is $58.
- If you prefer to use a check, please make checks payable to: Clark Band. You can also check out http://www.clarkband.org/band-fees/for more details about your fee.
School Owned Instrument Fees. If you play Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn, Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Sax, or Bari Sax, the instrument rental fee is $100 for the year. This is paid through your MyPaymentsPlus.
