We have a concert next Friday, October 21st from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. All students, regardless of eligibility are expected to attend. These events have been posted since August on our website and your child received a hardcopy that they were supposed to give to you the first week of school. This is a mandatory event and failure to attend may result in a failing grade for the six weeks and possible removal from the program.

Concert begins at 6:00pm — Wear your full band uniform
*Full Band Uniform for ALL concerts and contests uniform is:
- Band POLO tucked in. (NOT the T-Shirt)
- BLACK DRESS SLACKS (NOT black jeans,)
- BLACK DRESS Belt, BLACK DRESS SOCKS (NOT Navy Blue)
- BLACK Dress Shoes (NO athletic shoes)
- WHITE undershirt (V-neck for boys)
Concert Band warms-up on stage. Honor Band warms-up in the Orchestra Room. Symphonic Band warms-up in the Band Hall.
Concert starts at 6:00pm, and should conclude around 7:30pm.
Students earn THREE MAJOR TEST GRADES on Friday, October 21st
- Preparation Grade: Do you show up on time in the correct attire with all your music and equipment (instruments)?
- Performance Grade: Do you watch the conductor, sit properly, stay mentally focused, take big breaths, and play with your best sound.
- Etiquette Grade: Do you stay for the entire concert? Are you respectful of the other performers by not talking or moving while someone is performing? Did you clap at the appropriate times? Remember, we are making a recording of this and all our concerts.
On Friday, October 21st we meeting at different times to take pictures the yearbook just before the concert.
