Hey Cougar Band,
Summer Band begins next week! The dates and times are as follows:
- Monday, August 7th 5:30-8:30pm
- Tuesday, August 8th 5:30-8:30pm
- Wednesday, August 9th 5:30-8:30pm
All 7th & 8th grade returning students (not beginners) are expected to attend. The camp is free! If you have conflicts or concerns please contact us at Katzb@friscoisd.org. You will be receiving a new band binder at camp with everything you need to get started for the school year. Be sure to bring your instrument, even if you checked out an instrument over the summer! We will be reissuing school instruments during the week for the upcoming school year.
Band Council will also meet Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am to 2pm to help prepare. Please bring a sack lunch for Monday and Tuesday. We will be providing pizza and drinks for lunch on Wednesday.
Amazing Jakes! On Thursday, we are going to Amazing Jakes together and ride those long yellow taxis called buses. This is optional. We are meeting at Clark at 5:30pm and returning by 10:00pm. If you would like to participate, please bring $16 with you on Thursday.
Band Fees. We encourage you to take care of payment of your band fees during Summer Camp. The band boosters will be available to process your payment on all 3 days of camp. We are also going to be able take payment online. Band fees for 7th grade is $95 and 8th grade is $58. Please make checks payable to: Clark Band. You can also check out http://www.clarkband.org/band-fees/ for more details about your fee. Please do not be concerned about finances. We are here to help!
School Owned Instrument Fees. If you play Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn, Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Sax, or Bari Sax, the instrument rental fee is $100 for the year. This payment is made through your MYPaymentsPlus acct. It will not be on-line until school starts. Please do not be concerned about finances. We are here to help!
