The concert band had a great start this week! We were successful in learning the fight song and the Hey Song. This weekend, your child needs to continue to practice both of those, but also needs to practice the first 21 measures of the epic band standard, Louie Louie! Feel free to sing along as your neighborhood is filled with the sounds of music!
Please note the following:
-Signed practice cards are due on Tuesday
-Tickets for the band-sponsored school dance go on sale during lunch starting on Tuesday. Students that purchase a ticket before Friday will be entered into a drawing for a free ITunes gift card. The 7th and 8th grade dance will be from 6 – 7:30 PM.
-Sectionals will begin next week, please see the post on the front page of the website for your child’s sectional time. Most are before school and begin at 7:20 AM.
-We strongly encourage private lessons. Please visit the private lessons tab on the website if you would like to enroll your child, but do it soon because times will fill up!
