Home Base Notes!

Parents

This was a great week working to perfect what we call our home base notes.  Please encourage your child to play these notes for you this weekend!  Other announcements include the following:

  • We are working on putting our instrument together — This should be done with great care as the instruments are very delicate.
  • We are learning our note names and recognizing symbols — use musicracer.com to practice.  It counts as 5 minutes of practice time.
  • Practice Card is due, signed by you, on Monday, September 14th.
  • Students are expected to practice for only 15 minutes at a time.
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled!
  • The History of the Instrument Project is due on Monday, September 21st.  Click here for details.
  • Our first pep-rally is on Monday, September 21st.  Students are expected to wear their band t-shirt for the day!  They should have received their shirt today in class. Take care to turn it inside out and wash in cold or the colors could fade and the shirt shrink.
