Homework:
- We have a pep-rally on Monday! All students are expected to wear their band t-shirt except for Football and Cheer people if they are wearing football or cheer gear…
- Students should be working on all four etudes of your region audition music. Lines have been assigned with due dates. Please see your child’s music for dates.
- The Star Spangled Banner, Cheerleader, and Can’t Stop the Feeling should be worked to a 90% mastery or better.
- Practice cards are due on Monday, September 26th.
Upcoming Events:
- Please help us raise money for the program. Our goal is $15,000 in donations. If your child has filled out their form, then please come see us for another form. You may donate for the Color Run online here. The first official donation turn-in is Monday!! Your child will need to bring their donation envelopes on this day. Don’t have all your donations yet? No problem, there will be two more dates to turn in (Oct 2nd and Oct 11th!)
- Monday, September 26th (3:05pm) — Pep-Rally
- Tuesday, September 27th (3:45 – 9:00pm) – 8th grade football game
- (All students are expected to attend and perform)
- Friday, September 30th (note change) (5:30pm to around 9:00pm) – Centennial HS football game (only for current 8th graders going to Centennial HS)
- Monday, October 3rd – (3:45 – 9:00pm) — 7th grade football game
- (All students are expected to attend and perform)
In addition, the district has asked that we attend a marching band showcase at the Star on Tuesday, October 4th. (6:00pm – 10:00pm)This event is optional.
We had planned on buying a block of tickets and then taking the student to and from the game via school bus. Frisco ISD transportation informed us yesterday that buses will NOT be available for this event because of all the high school bands needing all the available buses for high school bands. We encourage you and your family to attend but we cannot provide transportation. Tickets are only $3 each. Click on this link to purchase your tickets. The Clark Band did not order any tickets.
