Last Football Performance of 2014

Dear Parents:

On Tuesday, October 28th, we are playing at the last of two football games.  We are meeting at the cafeteria at 3:40pm.  Students are expected to wear their Band T-shirt, jeans or shorts, and athletic shoes.  (No flip-flops please) We are riding on school buses to Memorial Stadium.  We are leaving Clark at 5:00pm.  The games begin at 5:30pm.  Students may bring an extra snack but we are feeding the students pizza, soda, and water.

8th grade football players are expected to perform with the band during the game that they are not involved in.  All football players are expected to have someone bring their instrument and music to and from the game for them.  Since the “B” team plays first, they will start out with the football team while the “A” team will start with the band.  In the 4th quarter, the “A” team will leave the band and go to the field to warm-up for their game.  Then the “B” team will join the band for the “A” game.

  • “A” team players will ride with the band to the game and come home with the football team.
  • “B” team players will ride with the football team to the game and come home with the band.

8th Grade cheerleaders are expected to perform with the band during the first half of each game and then leave at halftime to perform their routine with the cheerleaders.

We are serving the students snacks and drinks during the event.  Students are NOT allowed to go to the concessions stands.  Students are encouraged to bring their homework to the stands and on the bus.  The students are expected to attend the entire event.  Exceptions are made on a case by case basis.  Please, contact us in advance if you plan taking your child home early.  Only a legal guardian may pick up a student from the event.  Since we cannot predict exactly when the games will end, our intention is to pack up at 8:30pm and return to Clark by 9:15pm.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 469-633-4621 or KatzB@friscoisd.org.

See you at the game!!
