Hey Cougar Band,
Summer Band begins next week! The dates and times are as follows:
- Monday, August 12 – 5:30-8:30
- Tuesday, August 13 – 5:30-8:30
- Thursday, August 15 – 5:30-7:00
All 7th & 8th grade returning students (not beginners)are expected to attend. The camp is free! If you have conflicts please contact us to let us know. You will be receiving a new band binder at camp with everything you need to get started for the school year. Be sure to bring your instrument as well. We will also be checking out school instruments during the week.
Band Council will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9am to 2pm to help prepare. Please bring a sack lunch for Monday and Tuesday. We will be providing pizza and drinks for lunch on Thursday.
Amazing Jakes! We will end early on Thursday so that we can go to Amazing Jakes together and ride those long yellow taxis called buses. This is optional. If you choose not attend, you will be finished at 7pm. We will return to Clark at 10:30pm. If you would like to participate, bring $16 with you on Thursday.
Band Fees. We encourage you to take care of payment of your band fees during Summer Camp. The band boosters will be available to process your payment on all 3 days of camp. We are also going to be able take payment online. Band fees for 7th grade is $92 and 8th grade is $55. Please make checks payable to: Clark Band. You can also check out http://www.clarkband.org/band-fees/ for more details about your fee.
School Owned Instrument Fees. If you play Tuba, Euphonium, French Horn, Oboe, Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Sax, or Bari Sax, the instrument rental fee is $100 for the year. Please make a separate check payable to: FISD.
