Symphonic Band — Week 2

  • Handbook form were due by Friday, August 28th
  • Practice Card is due on Tuesday, September 7th
  • Students are expected to have complete comprehension of the following pieces of music:

  1. Fight Song
  2. Hey Song
  3. Land of 1000 Dances
  4. Don’t Stop Believin’
  5. Stand Shorties
  6. Centuries
  7. Shut Up and Dance
  • All students are to work on individual measures of the All-Region Music.  Students are expected to work on their Lyrical and Technical Exercises slowly.  You should here the same measures repeated many times.  This is the best technique to lead to content mastery.
  • Reed students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick
  • Students should be very busy on their instrument.  We have a pep-rally on September 21st and a concert in October.
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled!
