Symphonic Band Week #8

Practice Card is due on Tuesday, October 20th.

We have a clinic on Wednesday, October 22nd from 3:40 – 6:30pm. This is the only time that we can meet with Football games on Mondays and Tuesdays and Volleyball on Thursdays.

We are playing for the Beginner Concert on Thursday, October 23rd. Volleyball players are excused… We are meeting at 6:45pm and performing at 7:00pm. It is a surprise for the Beginners. Students are expected to wear their band t-shirt and jeans or shorts. Let me know if you have a conflict and cannot attend.
Our fall concert is Wednesday, October 29th at 6:00pm. Students are expected to wear their Band Polo, an undershirt (white V-Neck for boys), black dress pants, black dress socks, black dress shoes, and a black dress belt. Please let me know if you have any financial concerns, we can help. Girls may wear a black skirt if they prefer (cover the knees please), and black heels (closed-toe). NO Sandals please.
If you have pictures from the football game, please share them us.
Students are expected to work on their All-Region Lyrical and Technical Exercises slowly. You should here the same measures repeated many times. This is the best technique to lead to content mastery. Most of the major test grades will be from these two exercises, plus their scales. All-Region auditions are on Thursday, November 13th and Saturday, November 15th. Details to come.
