Symphonic Week #2

  • Handbook form were due by Friday, August 29th
  • Practice Card is due on Monday, September 8th
  • We have sectionals on Saturday, September 6th — Students are expected to attend unless I know about a conflict:

  • Students are expected to have complete comprehension of the following pieces of music:
  1. Louie, Louie
  2. Happy
  3. Fight Song
  4. Hey Song
  5. Stand Shorties
  6. Sweet Caroline
  • All students are to work on individual measure of Problem, Counting Stars and their All-Region Music.  Students are expected to work on their Lyrical and Technical Exercises slowly.  You should here the same measures repeated many times.  This is the best technique to lead to content mastery.
  • Reed students are expected to have four reeds with no chips, cracks or lipstick
  • Students should be very busy on their instrument.  We have a pep-rally on September 15th and a concert in October.
  • Private Lessons are strongly encouraged.  Sign-up now before all of the available time are filled!
