Parents,
UIL Concert and Sightreading is a little over one month away and you should be hearing your child working towards perfection on their music. Please encourage them to practice thirty minutes a day on our UIL program. We are playing Newcastle March, Journey Down Niagara, and Kenya Contrasts. Also, each section has a practice once a week that is mandatory and graded. It is very important that every student attend their respective sectional. Naturally things happen and conflicts occur. Be sure to communicate those with me so that we can schedule make up times.
The Honor Band has been sounding great, but there is always room for improvement. UIL is our biggest event of the year (think of it as the STAAR test for the band….) Thanks for all of your support!
