Greetings Parents,
Bless you parents for encouraging your children to practice. Continue to reassure their patience. It takes time to develop a good tone on a brass instrument before we start playing a lot of songs. Here are a few things to check at home:
General Announcements
- Everyone should be practicing 30 minutes each day: 20 minutes of playing and 10 of non-playing exercises.
- Practice Cards are due every Monday. Parents please sign them on Sunday. I am real flexible with these right now. There are some missing grades for practice cards, have your child turn-in their practice card and they will still receive credit; even for late cards.
- All classes have started their History of the Instrument Projects: Due September 16th. Projects should be turned-in these before school. Have your child drop them off with a band director in the band hall. You may also have your child turn in their project by email if they are opting to write a paper.
