Greetings Parents,
Here is your weekly update AND announcements for this week. Our classes are starting to pick up. So, here are a few things to check at home:
General Announcements
- Fundraiser Forms are due Monday. Go here if you need a new one.
- Everyone should be practicing 30 minutes each day.
- Practice Cards are due every Monday. Parents please sign them on Sunday. When there are some missing grades for practice cards, have your child turn-in their practice card and they will still receive credit; even for late cards.
- We have learned a procedure/process for learning new lines/music:
- Count and finger/slide
- Sing and finger/slide
- BERP it.
- Play it.
- Repeat
Trombones, Euphoniums, & Tubas
- Buzz a steady tone and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
- Remington 1 note & 2 note exercises
- Slurs from F, E, Eb, and D
- Articulation Exercise (quarter notes on Remington 2 note)
- Note recognition (work for speed)
- Rhythms on page 46 – measure 1 – 20
